Summary[]

Ares is the main antagonist of the first game in the franchise. He is the ruthless and bloodthirsty god of war who is responsible for the death of Kratos' wife and child when he tricked Kratos into killing them and Kratos seeks revenge against him for what he has done.

It's even considered that Ares was never able to even last long in a fight against Poseidon, Hades, Cronos and Gaia on his own.)
