Grey Zone is termed for characters that are described to be morally-ambiguous. These characters are not fully defined to be good or evil and are often shown to be have traits that makes them either heroic or villainous. These characters are not bound to be definitely evil or definitely good by any means as they would lose their ambiguous trait.
Some characters that are bound to be neither heroic or villainous could be a part of the Grey Zone.
Under the moral spectrum and the moral ranking, characters with 3 + (Inconsistently Admirable) and 3 - (Inconsistently Heinous) dual rankings, 4 + (Heroic Benchmark) and 4 – (Villainous Benchmark) dual rankings, or 0 (Completely Ambiguous) ranking are bound to fall under this.
Characters that are under 1 + (Pure Good), 2 + (Near Pure Good), 1 - {Pure Evil), 2 – (Near Pure Evil) are not bound to be under the Grey Zone. These characters are explicitly shown to be good or evil without any signs of ambiguity.
