A hero is a character in a story that do good acts in service of others to save and support them. These characters are varies from cape-wearing supers to non-action individuals. Heroes are known for committing good acts that are admirable and noble. Heroes are on the side of good and they often fight against villains.

Heroes commit admirable deeds that can vary from saving people from danger, fighting against a villain, standing up for and protecting someone defenseless against an aggressor, or being a positive change and inspirational leader and role model within their community. Many heroes are usually recognized for their achievements by many people while others prefer to not get any attention or fame for their actions. Heroes can be pragmatic to meet a goal they have set in mind, they may be motivated by nothing else but to help others, or both.

There are variety of heroes throughout fiction. Common traits of heroes are selflessness, courageousness, loyalty, honor, and humility. However, many heroes can also have corrupting qualities that make them arrogant, have hostile attitude, or in some cases evil.

Heroes are either Standard Heroism (Rank 5 +), Heroic Benchmark (Rank 4 +), Inconsistently Admirable (Rank 3 +), Near Pure Good (Rank 2 +), or Pure Good (Rank 1 +). These characters vary in how admirable they are for their heroic actions with Pure Good heroes being the most admirable to Standard Good heroes being the least admirable.

Heroes may also exist on the evil side of the spectrum. These types are often redeemed villains who are now heroes who fight against evil.

Fallen heroes usually turn evil over time and are no longer heroes. Pure Evil (Rank 1 -) and Near Pure Evil (Rank 2 -) can have fallen heroes who were once heroes who did good deeds.
