Summary[]
The "Riordanverse" is the name given to the shared universe of Rick Riordan's various young adult fantasy-mythology novels. They include Percy Jackson and the Olympians, The Heroes of Olympus, The Kane Chronicles, Magnus Chase and the Gods of Asgard, The Trials of Apollo, and The Sun and the Star.
Morality Standard of the Verse[]
Admirable Standard[]
- Safe Nobility: The vast majority of heroes would try to save large numbers of people (Percy, Magnus, the Kanes, etc.), or at the very least some other person they aren't personally invested in (Nico, Annabeth, etc.), from danger. However, since demigods are more often "underdogs" compared to evil immortals, the most common motive for heroes is simple survival.
Heinous Standard[]
- Frequent Common Hostility: Most of the big bads (Kronos, Gaea, Apophis, Loki, etc.) are cataclysmic entities threatening the globe, and their godhood typically makes their evil less personal to the POV characters. Lower-level villains (such as assorted monsters) often stick with common homicide or theft. The kind of evil that would stand out in the Riordanverse would be personal acts of cruelty and abuse.
