Summary[]

The New Order: Last Days of Europe is a total conversion mod for the real strategy game Hearts of Iron IV loosely based on the 2014 RP Thread A New Order. It is an alternate history story set in a world where the Axis Powers won World War II, simulating an alternate Cold War in the 1960s and 1970s between the United States of America, the Greater Germanic Reich, and the Empire of Japan.

Morality Standard of the Verse[]

Admirable Standard

  • In-General Positive: The vast majority of heroes in the setting are morally grey. The game being about international politics means that nearly every character will engage in war and in political repression. For heroes, such actions are necessary evils. For a hero to stand out in admirability, such things can only be minimized rather than completely avoided.

Heinous Standard

  • Frequent Common Hostility: As a strategy game about global politics, most characters either start with or can later have whole nations at their disposal, which means that nearly every villain is bound to engage in large-scale tyranny by default. On top of that, the world is one in which one of the most brutal totalitarian regimes in history won World War II alongside its cohorts. For a villain to stand out, they are going to have to compete with Nazi Germany in heinousness.
